China: Ighalo, Ideye, Ujah Fire Blanks As Clubs Get Mixed Results
Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo was in action for 90 minutes as his club Changchun Yatai defeated Jiangsu Suning FC 1-0 away in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.
Changchun Yatai’s goal was scored via an own goal by Boyu Yang in the 16th minute.
The game was Ighalo’s 12th league appearancs for Changchun with two goals.
The win took Changchun to 13th on 12 points in the 16-team league table.
Another Nigeria striker, Brown Ideye, also made a 90 minute appearance for Tianjin TEDA who lost 2-0 away to Beijing Guoan.

Mikel Obi was not in action for Tianjin TEDA as he is yet to recover from a long-term injury.
Tianjin TEDA were reduced to 10 men following the sending off of Muzepper Mirahmetjan on the stroke of half-time.
Beijing Guoan went 1-0 up in the 30th minute through Turkish Burak Yilmaz.
And in the 60th minute, Brazilian midfielder Renato Augusto got on the score sheet to seal the win for Beijing Guoan.
Tianjin TEDA now occupy the 12th spot in the CSL table and have 13 points.
In another CSL game also on Sunday, another Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah featured for Liaoning Hongyun who lost 3-0 at home to Shandong Luneng.
Senegalese striker Papiss Cisse (19th minute), and a brace from Diego Tardelli (24th, 47th minutes) secured the comfortable win for Shandong Luneng.
Ujah has four goals in 10 league games for Liaoning Hongyun this current campaign.
The defeat means Liaoning Hongyun are placed 11th on 13 points.
